The 3 R's - Repairs, Reedmaking and Restoration.
I am happy to reed up Hunter chanters through the post. Price for
a set chanter reed, in tune at about 20degC and about 60% RH and played
for a while, is £60 +p&p.
I am not happy to reed up full sets of pipes through the post . . . but
drop them off and reg reeds are the same price as chanter reeds, and
drone reeds are £20.
I am very happy (I do actually really enjoy it) to go over and repair /
restore old Hunter sets, and sets where the original maker is no longer
with us and I think I can do some good. This work is charged at
£25/hr except reeds which are charged as above. I work in
rotation to ensure I don't have your pipes lying around for ages when
you could be playing them.
